It is no longer a matter of debate that deforestation and climate change are huge problems.
We are concerned about these environmental problems as much as the prominent scientists and honest politicans are. Although we do not
have decision powers ourselves, we know that there is a lot of power in social web technology. Our goal is to use this strength
to send a message to individuals who don't yet see the implications of the damages that we are creating. Our goal is to show
that we care, and that we understand the necessity of conservation.
Let's not forget that trees provide us with fresh oxygen. They reduce smog in urban areas and help reduce harmful
amounts of erosion in rural and uninhabited areas. One fifth of the world's tropical rainforest was destroyed between 1960 and 1990. At the rate
of deforestation today, trees could become extinct by 2090.
PrintDoubleSided.com was launched originally in 2007, when the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) reported staggering news.
With over 90% certainty, the IPCC found that
anthropogenic (human) greenhouse gas concentrations and other human activity will result in frequent heat waves and heavy rainfall during the 21st century.
The Nobel-prize winning panel’s conclusions are backed by an overwhelming majority of scientists.
The unsustainable changes that we create can only be refuted by ourselves.
A simple task like printing double sided can be a great step in eventually helping the big picture.
